Pre-Memorial Day Free Ice Cream?! AMAZING!

Act like you're surprised.

So we kicked off the 2nd official Free Ice Sunday the day before Memorial Day at the Bushwick Country Club, and once again it was freaking incredible. Beautiful weather (it's as if God himself digs on some Free Ice Cream action), friendly and fun people, and your trusty Free Ice Cream crew giving out delicious burgers and dogs, Maker's Mark Milkshakes, and some of the freshest indie-hip-hop this side of the Mississippi -- all for free!

The next Free Ice Cream Sunday will jump off on June 7th. That means we are well into the beginning of summer. That means that these events are only going to get more and more fun. That means that if you haven't come out yet, you are just plain being silly.

Check out these pictures. See the smiling faces. We are deadly serious about bringing the good vibes. At the end of this summer, we will all no longer think about Sundays as a sad day.

See you at the next one!

Free Ice Cream on the Cover of the Greenpoint Gazette!

(Just imagine Kats's beautiful, smiling face in that picture too).

Anyway, you're friendly neighborhood Free Ice Cream Crew managed to snag a cover article in the Greenpoint Gazette. Pretty exciting for us, and a very well written and flattering article about our humble little operation.

Look at us now, mom!

Ice Cream Sundays! (5/10) Mother's Day BBQ!

So, the first Ice Cream Sunday of the summer was a huge success! We had another beautiful day of weather, and spent the afternoon and early evening grilling with our friends in the sunshine and giving out delicious Maker's Mark Milkshakes (which are gaining quite the reputation).

Not only was it Mother's Day, but it also marked the release of the Almost Fameless Volume #3 Mixtape, which you can download (for free!) at www.freeicecream.net.

Some people even brought their mothers out with them, which was wonderful to see. Nothing says "I love you mom!" like sharing hot dogs and hamburgers and getting a little tipsy on whiskey-infused milkshakes. I'm not kidding, either. I stand behind my statement.

As we keep telling everyone -- these events will be going on ALL SUMMER LONG! The next one will be on May 24th, once again at the Bushwick Country Club.

Check out the pictures from this past Sunday, see how much free fun everyone is having, and make sure you come out and enjoy it for yourself at the next one.

This summer is going to ruuuuuuuuuuule.

First BBQ of the Summer Was AMAZING!!!

We hope that everyone who came out to Free Ice Cream's first BBQ of the summer at Bushwick Country Club had as much fun as we did. It was an amazing success, and we look forward to sharing the rest of the summer with you all. Tell your friends!

We served over 200 free burgers and hot dogs in less than an hour, and a ridiculous amount of Maker's Mark Milkshakes. Needless to say, by the time everything was over, we could barely stand.

The next BBQ is scheduled for this upcoming the Sunday (5/10), same place, same time! Our advice to everyone is to come early to make sure you get all the free food and milkshakes your heart desires.

If you didn't come out yesterday, you should take a look at our pictures and realize that you are missing an incredible time. And if you did come out yesterday, check out the pictures and find yourself! We will have video of the event soon as well.

Keep checking in with us, y'all. It's going to be an incredible summer.

New Blog!

Hello Internets.

This is the new Free Ice Cream blog! Here, we will be constantly updating with all the info for our upcoming events, as well as posting pictures and videos of the previous events to show you how incredibly fun they are, in case you have been missing out.

This summer is the advent of Free Ice Cream Sundays, where will be throwing free BBQ's just about every other Sunday throughout June, July, and August in Williamsburg at the Bushwick Country Club. At each Free Ice Cream Sundays event, not only will there be free BBQ -- we will also be offering free music, free booze, free ice cream, and all the other wonderful things people have come to expect from NYC's funnest (and most recession-friendly) party-throwers.

So check back here often for updates! We will be very busy putting together all sorts of free goodies for everyone.
